On the 25th of February we had a full house and an afternoon absolutely bursting with energy. From the moment the doors opened, the room was buzzing - music playing, conversations flowing, quiz answers being debated and plenty of laughter echoing around the hall.

A fantastic live performance from the brilliant The Brewery Street Buskers who had toes tapping and faces smiling from the very first note. Their lively set brought just the right mix of nostalgia and feel-good vibes.

We were also delighted to hear an informal talk from Sarah and Jenn of Walfinch Swindon and Marlborough Home Care, who shared a little about the wonderful work they do in our community.

Our delicious cakes were provided by the talented Dumbledart's Bakery this month.

Music, connection, coffee and cake, community spirit and a room full of happy faces. What more could we ask for?

Highworth Forget-Me-Not began in 2019 as part of a community campaign to make Highworth a Dementia Friendly town. What started as a celebration event quickly grew into a regular Memory Café — and from there, a whole range of friendly, inclusive activities.

Today we offer Memory Cafés, Friendship Fridays, Dementia-Friendly Sing-alongs, Love to Move seated exercises, all designed to reduce isolation and bring people together. Thanks to amazing local support and  funding, we continue to grow and reach even more people.

Whether you join us, volunteer, donate or simply support from afar, you’re part of our community.
