We kicked off things with a Love to Move seated exercise session this month because fun and wellbeing goes hand in hand.

Our Valentine's special Left, Right game had everyone thinking and laughing, passing gifts at lightening speed and trying very hard to follow directions.

With our wonderful volunteer Jane enjoying a well-earned break from sandwich duty, we switched things up and treated everyone to pizzas and hot dogs. Safe to say there were no complaints - just happy faces and full plates.

We packed the month with quizzes and games: Higher or Lower, Beetle Drive, picture and number bingo etc. to bring out everyone's competitive spirit.

The last Friday of the month brought the joy of singing with Tracy.

Add to that endless cups of tea and coffee, a generous supply of biscuits and cakes, and what you have is exactly what February should be about: friendship, companionship, laughter and a room full of people enjoying each other's company.

Highworth Forget-Me-Not began in 2019 as part of a community campaign to make Highworth a Dementia Friendly town. What started as a celebration event quickly grew into a regular Memory Café — and from there, a whole range of friendly, inclusive activities.

Today we offer Memory Cafés, Friendship Fridays, Dementia-Friendly Sing-alongs, Love to Move seated exercises, all designed to reduce isolation and bring people together. Thanks to amazing local support and  funding, we continue to grow and reach even more people.

Whether you join us, volunteer, donate or simply support from afar, you’re part of our community.
